NPFTAS stands for NPF Testing and Assessment Services. NPF is the National Police Foundation — established in March 1975 under the Charitable Endowments Act 1890. It is headed by a serving Inspector General of Police.

1. Assistant (BPS-15) – 21 Posts
- Qualification: Graduate degree from an HEC recognized university
- Age: 18 to 28 years
- Must complete a 6-week Basic IT Training (MS Office) via NITB within one year of joining
2. Sub Inspector (BPS-14) – 94 Posts
- Qualification: 2nd Class or Grade C Bachelor’s degree from an HEC recognized university
- Age: 18 to 25 years
- Physical (Men): Height 5 ft 6 inches | Chest 33 x 34½ inches
- Physical (Women): Height 5 ft 4 inches
3. Stenotypist (BPS-14) – 47 Posts
- Qualification: Intermediate
- Age: 18 to 25 years
- Minimum shorthand speed: 80 words per minute
- Minimum typing speed: 40 words per minute
- Must be computer literate
4. Upper Division Clerk – UDC (BPS-13) – 29 Posts
- Qualification: Intermediate
- Age: 18 to 25 years
- Must complete a 3-week Basic IT Training via NITB within one year
5. Lower Division Clerk – LDC (BPS-11) – 64 Posts
- Qualification: Matriculation
- Age: 18 to 25 years
- Minimum typing speed: 30 words per minute
- Must complete a 3-week Basic IT Training via NITB within one year
6. Assistant Sub Inspector – ASI (BPS-09) – 117 Posts

- Must hold a valid Motorcycle and LTV driving license
- Must have experience driving cars and light vehicles
- Must have knowledge of vehicle maintenance
9. Staff Car Driver (BPS-04) – 42 Posts
- Qualification: Primary education
- Age: 18 to 30 years
- Must hold a valid Motor Car License from any licensing authority in Pakistan
- Must be well versed in traffic rules

The NPFTAS portal follows a simple 3-step process. Here is the complete guide:
- Create Your Account Go to www.npftas.pk and click Sign Up. Register using your CNIC and personal details. Save your login credentials carefully.
- Complete Your Profile Log in and fill your complete profile. Enter your domicile, qualification, and personal information accurately. Select the post you want to apply for.
- Apply for the Job Click on “Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) – Career Opportunities” listed under Open Applications. Hit Apply Now and submit your form.
- Pay the Application Fee After submitting, a 24-digit PSID number is generated. Pay Rs. 2,000 per post using any of these methods: EasyPaisa, JazzCash, UPaisa, Internet Banking, ATM, or any bank branch via 1Link/1Bill. Use your PSID to complete the payment. The fee is non-refundable.
No Documents Needed Now. Do not send anything by courier or hand. Original documents are only required at the interview stage.

Selection Process – How Candidates Are Chosen
The recruitment has multiple stages. You must pass each stage to move to the next one. Failing any stage means you cannot proceed further.
Stage 1 – Physical Measurements
For Sub Inspector, ASI, Constable, and Constable Driver posts only. Height and chest measurements are taken first at this stage.
Stage 2 – Endurance Test
Candidates must run 1.6 km (1 mile). Qualifying time is 7 minutes for men and 10 minutes for women. Only those who pass this test move to the written exam.
Stage 3 – Written Exam (CBT)
Computer Based Test conducted by NPFTAS. This tests general knowledge, subject knowledge, and relevant skills depending on the post applied for.
Stage 4 – Skill Test
For posts like Stenotypist and LDC where typing or shorthand speed must be verified as per the required standards.
Stage 5 – Interview
Shortlisted candidates appear before a selection panel. Original documents and CNIC must be brought to the interview. Government employees must bring their NOC from their department.
Stage 6 – Medical Examination
Final selected candidates must pass a comprehensive medical exam by an authorized Federal Government Civil Surgeon. Medically unfit candidates are disqualified from the recruitment.
