The Punjab government is considering the suggestion to extend the winter vacation for than one week due to severe cold weather and fog
The winter vacation for schools in the province of Punjab, is expected to be extended for an additional week, from January 9 to 15, due to the demand of parents concerned about cold weather. This extension follows the extension of winter vacation for a week by the provincial government of Punjab, on the orders of the Lahore High Court, due to smog. The Specialized Health Department of Punjab has also announced that the winter vacation for medical and nursing colleges in the province has been extended until January.
صوبہ پنجاب کے سکولوں میں موسم سرما کی تعطیلات پہلے 2 جنوری کو ختم ہونے والی تھیں تاہم سموگ کے بڑھتے ہوئے خطرے کے پیش نظر لاہور ہائی کورٹ نے موسم سرما کی تعطیلات میں مزید ایک ہفتہ 27 دسمبر تک توسیع کا حکم دیا تھا۔ پنجاب بھر کے سکول 8 جنوری 2023 کو کھلنے والے تھے لیکن اب پارہ گرنے اور موسم کی خرابی کے باعث والدین کے مطالبے پر محکمہ سکول ایجوکیشن موسم سرما کی تعطیلات میں ایک ہفتہ توسیع کرنے پر غور کر رہا ہے، حتمی فیصلہ آج اجلاس کے بعد کیا جائے گا۔ پنجاب حکومت کے اعلیٰ حکام۔
