  1. The loan is granted based on the following criteria:
    Bicycle Advance: Rs. 8,000 with Rs. 200 monthly installments for BS-01 to BS-17.
    Motorcycle Advance: Rs. 80,000 with Rs. 1,340 monthly installments for BS-01 to BS-17 (60 equal installments, with no extension).
    House Building Advance: Rs. 250,000 with Rs. 2,080 monthly installments for BS-01 to BS-17 (120 equal installments, no extension allowed).
    Motorcar Advance: Rs. 200,000 with Rs. 3,334 monthly installments for BS-17 and above (60 equal installments, no extension allowed).
  2. Eligibility Criteria:
  • Only employees who are not benefiting from loans through Benevolent Fund, banks, or other financial institutions are eligible. A certificate from the respective DDO confirming this must be attached.
  • Deputationists are not eligible for this scheme.
  • Loans will be granted in only one category at a time. After full repayment, employees can apply for another loan.
  • In the event of death during service, remaining loan installments will be waived after consultation with the Finance Department.
  1. Application Process:
  • Applications are invited through a circular sent to all Administrative Secretaries, District Coordination Officers, and Political Agents. Wide publicity is provided through press and radio.
  • Applications for employees in the Civil Secretariat and Attached Departments are scrutinized by the Benevolent Fund Section, while those for district-level employees are handled by District Coordination Officers using a Data Entry Software Program.

  • Attached Departments: October 31 each year
  • District Government Departments: October 16 each year.
